    Organizational Engagement Officer

    Fulton State Hospital is seeking an Organizational Engagement Officer. This is an administrative level position accountable for promoting engagement of all stakeholders to create a more positive work environment for employees and treatment environment for clients . This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and support to employees and clients while promoting the mission, vision, and values of the facility to promote trust, communication, and respect across all programs and departments. This individual will join a strong and successful leadership team that directs and manages all aspects of hospital operations.

    Works at the administrative level as a member of the Executive Team to assist in the development of engagement and leadership objectives and execute those initiatives.

    Cultivate a culture that seeks to improve outcomes of all stakeholders and embraces differences, striving for the integration of the hospital’s mission, vision and values across both staff and client populations.

    Work closely with Central Office DMH Way Facilitators to schedule and lead DMH Way initiatives at the hospital. Become a DMH Way Adjunct Trainer.

    Mentor and coordinate the efforts of all FSH DMH Way Ambassadors.

    Facilitate and mediate "difficult conversations" .

    Present on topics of engagement, leadership, supervision, cultural competence, the mission, vision, values of Fulton State Hospital and more, to groups such as New Employee Orientation, agency tours, and community outreach opportunities.

    Develop, maintain, and participate in employee networks that aim to ( a) improve employee resources designed to improve outcomes for our staff, and ( b) network with community resources (colleges, university, community resources, etc.)

    Lead the Diversity Action and Respect Team (DART) for the hospital which encompasses community outreach and sponsors programming, projects, and workgroups; and assist the hospital in revitalizing service projects related to the Mission, Vision, Values of FSH

    Supervise Chaplaincy Services to ensure important religious and spiritual practices are honored.

    Oversee Volunteer Services.

    Participate in Recruitment and Retention initiatives at the hospital including outreach to area high schools, community colleges, universities, and colleges.

    Exist as a professional resource to supervisors, programs, departments, staff, treatment teams, and clients regarding engagement, leadership development, and positive culture that encompasses the hospital’s Mission, Vision, Values.

    Review policies to promote positive culture and our mission, vision and values.

    Assist in gathering information and with the integration of accommodations and needs for clients and staff to ensure a positive and prosocial environment.

    Participate as a member of the Trauma Informed Care Committee.

    Participate as a resource/consultant to each of the Client Councils.

    Participate and/or consult in coaching, mentoring, mediation, and/or disciplinary meetings, and advise during potentially disparate outcomes.

    Participate as a member of the Wellness Committee.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for this position will possess one or more of the following:

    • A Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience;

    • A Master's Degree;

    • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience;

    • Clinical experience will also be recognized as relevant experience.
