This position works closely with Human Resources staff performing technical and administrative functions related to hiring, onboarding, and workforce initiatives. This position reports to the Human Resources (HR) Manager. Programs assisted in daily work include Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Disability Determinations Services, Independent Living, and Veterans Education.
- Answers Central Office phones as well as receptionist duties at the front desk.
- Prepares notice of vacancies for OALRS open positions.
- Creates job openings and completes onboarding work within the applicant system (HireTrue).
- Prepares and creates interview packets.
- Oversee OALRS background check processes.
- Tracks and updates MOVERS Learn with OALRS HR required trainings.
- Handles hotel reservations for OALRS team members and reconciles monthly credit card statement.
- Maintains Human Resources SharePoint page.
- Assists HR Analysts with tracking.
- Monitors HR vacancy and fax inbox.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency in time management, accuracy, attention to detail and organization. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to express ideas professionally, clearly, and concisely. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff.
Minimum Experience and TrainingGraduation from high school or successful completion of the High School Equivalent test. Two years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
(Other qualifications and experience which in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education meet the requirements of the position may be accepted in lieu of the above).
