Job Location: Jefferson City, Missouri

The design support engineer coordinates department design, professional services, and/or local projects administration activities among districts, divisions and consultants. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.
What you’ll do:- Serves as a technical resource for department project managers and design personnel.
- Monitors progress and performs quality assurance of project activities and roadway design plans for compliance with department policies and procedures, federal regulations, and management directives.
- Advises Department personnel on non-motorized and ADA policy and serves as departmental expert of non-motorized and ADA policies, specifications, and standards plans according to current laws and identified best practices including development of non-motorized and ADA-related training.
- Coordinates with advocacy groups to ensure appropriate non-motorized policies are established and maintained.
- Represents the Department on nationwide task forces, technical committees and research boards.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.
- Six years of progressive experience in highway or transportation engineering
Special Working Conditions:- Job requires occasional statewide travel
- Remote locations will be considered
