Why you’ll love this positionThe Chief Behavior Analyst (CBA) leads the Division’s Tiered Supports team, which works to arrange for Individuals with IDD to live meaningful, minimally restrictive, and maximally independent lives through the development of nurturing, constructional, and responsive communities. To accomplish this common goal, the Division of DD has established three teams that collaborate efforts: Tier One: Universal Systems, Tier Two: Risk Prevention, and Tier Three: Intensive-Individualized Supports. The Tier One team works to develop providers that have strong universal systems of support (these are the things that every person needs to live a good life and is the foundation of everything we do across all of our teams). The Tier Two team focuses on developing providers of specialized, targeted services for people that have been identified as at-risk. This team also works on systems of clinical collaboration and enhancing Tier One efforts. The Tier Three team focuses on development of providers of intensive, individualized service/programs and systems of clinical collaboration.
The Director of Tier Two works under the direct supervision of the CBA. The Director of Tier Two is responsible for assisting the CBA to promote and ensure best practice risk prevention across the care continuum from facility-based care to home and community-based care. Toward this end, the Director of Tier Two.
- Collaborates with the CBA to manage and refine the Division of DD’s policy’s regarding risk prevention.
- Coaches and mentors' area Tier Two leads to implement and refine systematic interventions to build risk prevention capacity and increase quality of life
- Collaborates directly with the internal and external stakeholders to increase the Department and provider network capacity to provide effective risk prevention.
Qualifications:Preferred: Licensed Behavior Analyst, Licensed Social Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist with specific training and experience in applied behavior analysis, behavioral systems analysis and design; multi-tiered systems of support; and positive behavior support.
Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, social work, public health or related field with experience in multi-tiered systems of support, public health interventions, or positive behavior support.
Individuals pursuing licensure in behavior analysis, social work or related clinical field with experience in applied behavior analysis, multi-tiered systems of support, public health interventions, or positive behavior support
System- Level Analysis: Assist the CBA to design monthly data gathering systems to facilitate the monitoring of state-level training implementation of targeted prevention supports across the care continuum.
Complete monthly, quarterly and/or annual data analysis and reports to determine efficacy and efficiency of Tier Two processes.
Support the CBA in the review and enhancement of policy related to targeted prevention. Assess trends in various data sets to identify system needs and effective interventions.
Conduct data collection and analysis for work efforts such as workgroups, committees and training projects.
System-Level Design:Assist the CBA to design, develop, coordinate, and facilitate the Division of DD’s Tier Two, targeted prevention implementation process. Build and maintain systemic structure and tools promoting standards of skill development for all levels of stakeholders.
Develop data and tracking systems to monitor progress agencies participating in the Tier Two process and Tier Two team member consultation to agencies.
Assist the CBA to develop training curriculum, policy, reports, and participate in workgroups to address identified system needs.
System-Level Intervention:Assist the CBA to develop, educate and oversee the use of best practices for design and implementation of Tier Two Support model and strategies in an effort to assist individuals, families, contracted providers and state staff to help individuals live in their most integrated setting across the state.
Provide leadership, oversight, and consultation to Tier Two Area Leads to build capacity and skills through development and implementation of training related to targeted prevention, data collection and analysis, and implementation of tiered supports processes.
Participate in workgroups, committees and projects that address identified system needs
Work to enhance provider development and collaboration to improve capacity and services for individuals across the care continuum.
Brief individual level consultation: Consult with providers to support program and service innovation and development to maximize the impact of targeted prevention supports
