This position will be located at 1730 E. Elm Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, Work hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Scrap Tire Material Grants. Yearly grant calls for Playground and Non-playground grants for use of scrap tire derived surfacing materials and products. Approve material and product vendors with letters of certifications for correct amount of MO scrap tires used in their products, set up Salesforce folders for approval of general terms & conditions, notice of funds available, and both types of grant applications. Decide dates of grant openings, closing, and project dates for Financial Assistance Agreements (FAA). Send emails and printing to schools, counties, cities, etc. notifying them that the grant is open, open Salesforce for applicants to download their applications, get the forms on the web page in the correct period. Customer service to all questions regarding the grant call(s) and the process. Scan all applications that are mailed in, enter information into Salesforce, database, and spreadsheet. Ensure no grants are allowed for more than 1 grant cycle. Set up all scoring cards and discuss problems with applications. Award eligible grants, email all FAAs, and ensure that all grantees submit the E-Verify and completed FAA, send to Division of Environmental Quality for signature, and send all completed FAAs to grantees.
- Provide help within unit; review Solid Waste Management District grant applications for completeness and compliance. Provide answers to questions on how to comply with state law, regulations and additional technical assistance for the 20 Solid Waste Management Districts.
- Attend conferences or webinars on recycling, waste reduction, composting, scrap tire, or other relevant topics to help the team member become a subject matter expert.
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Grants Management - Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements.
- Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines - Knowledge of principles, laws, regulations, policies, practices, and guidelines (for example, Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations, OMB circulars) of grant or agreement programs, including their order of precedence.
- Analysis and Assessment - Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.
- Flexibility - Is open to change and new information; rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
