ABOUT THE JOB:Our Behavioral Health Front Office team is in charge of serving clients either in person or by phone at our offices in Lapine, Redmond, and Bend, providing quality care at all times. Our commitment is to serve the community in a professional and accurate manner. The administrative support technician provides support to Behavioral Health teams and clinicians serving the public. They are responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks that require intermediate computer and interpersonal skills. Clerical and technical duties include: greeting and checking in Behavioral Health clients using an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system to enter, validate and view client information associated with the services that are provided; updating demographics and making appointments in EPIC; communicating with staff and clients via phone, email, and fax; processing applications for service; and entering client insurance and billing information. This position will work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. The incumbent will receive training and be expected to routinely complete knowledge checks to insure policies and procedures are accurately attained and sustained.
This position will be primarily be assigned to our Courtney clinic in Bend, but will occasionally work at the other clinics in Bend, Redmond, and La Pine.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain a high level of customer service and confidentiality while providing information and assistance to clients, visitors, and County employees in a busy environment requiring the ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
- Prioritize, organize and carry out assignments in a timely and professional fashion with basic supervision.
- Enter data and numerical information into a computer system with speed and accuracy, and maintain electronic records, files and databases.
What You Will Bring: Knowledge of or experience with:
- General office procedures and methods.
- Modern office equipment and software including processing, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic mail.
- English language usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- HIPAA requirements related to client health records.
Skill in:
- Ability to participate in trainings for extended periods of time, retain information and demonstrate an ability to accurately implement policies and procedures with limited supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Enter data and numerical information into a computer system with speed and accuracy, and maintain electronic records, files and databases
- Work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Work effectively in a multi-task environment with multiple deadlines.
- Be flexible in working at different locations and taking on necessary tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent;
- AND two years of administrative support experience;
- OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the job.
Preference will be given for: - Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including WORD and EXCEL.
- Knowledge of EHR software, specifically the EPIC/OCHIN platform.
Necessary Special RequirementsThe employment offer will be contingent upon pre-employment screening for criminal history and controlled substances (NOTE: Positive test results for marijuana use may result in rescission of a contingent offer of employment). These screenings must be completed with satisfactory findings in order for a formal offer of employment to be extended.
Physical RequirementsMust have the ability to work in an office that is environmentally controlled; possess sufficient hand coordination to perform keyboarding and data entry; arm/hand movements to retrieve work materials and operate a variety of general office equipment. The position is frequently required to sit, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, stand, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 10 pounds.
