RoleUnder general supervision, performs a variety of administrative and security functions in a detention environment.
Major Duties, Responsibilities- Performs duties in the coordination and movement of the staff and inmate population through the monitoring of audio and video security systems, to include the electronic door controls.
- Monitors safety and security of the staff, inmates, and visitors by assessing the behavior of inmates while utilizing all the security systems provided.
- Communicates effectively with Detention Officers by effectively processing inquiries by staff on inmate activities and movements, as well as scheduled inmate activities.
- Updates all appropriate logs dealing with housing and inmate activity. Updates appropriate records management systems and completes necessary reports.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Work Environment:The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Physical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
