    The Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) department has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Specialist!

    The Administrative Specialist II plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all who visit the LCEWD office. This position involves greeting and assisting customers with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience even for those navigating personal challenges. The Administrative Specialist II provides outstanding customer service by managing phone calls, returning voicemails, scheduling appointments, and offering clear and effective communication. They also provide information about LCEWD programs and use computer systems to support daily operations efficiently. Through compassionate and professional interactions, the Administrative Specialist II ensures every customer feels valued and supported, even in difficult circumstances.

    The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and it is exclusively in-office. Consistent attendance is essential, as this role involves direct interaction with customers.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Greeting and welcoming customers to create a positive and supportive environment.
    • Answering phone calls and promptly returning voicemails to ensure effective communication.
    • Scheduling appointments efficiently to meet customer needs.
    • Providing information and assistance about Economic and Workforce Development programs and services.
    • Maintaining and updating spreadsheets to support accurate record-keeping and data management.
    • Utilizing computer systems to perform daily tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

    What we're looking for:
    • Commitment to regular and reliable attendance.
    • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively with individuals facing challenges.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with intermediate computer skills, including the ability to navigate various software and systems.
    • Availability to work on-site five days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • One (1) year experience as an Administrative Specialist I or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
