Missouri Division of Credit Unions Job Opportunity Credit Union Examiner St. Louis, Missouri Salary range: $55,500-$108,500 salary commensurate with experienceClosing date: January 15, 2025The Division of Credit Unions is responsible for the chartering, oversight, and regulation of credit unions in the State of Missouri. The State of Missouri offers a benefits package to include health insurance, defined pension, paid vacation and sick leave, 13 paid holidays.
Responsibilities: - Review the operation of state chartered credit unions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Navigate and understand credit union related laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations for unsafe and unsound banking practices and assess the adequacy of internal controls.
- Responsible for determining the financial condition of credit unions.
- Review and evaluate policies and procedures.
- Conduct financial analysis of regulatory reports.
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge and enhance experience and share that knowledge with coworkers and credit unions.
- Evaluate loan programs for regulatory compliance as well as safety and soundness.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
- Occasional travel is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Basic knowledge of credit union operations, general accounting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employee, and credit union management.
- Problem-solving skills to interpret compliance and report to management.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and prepare concise written reports.
- Ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
- Intermediate knowlege of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Occasional remote work is allowed.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Related work experience can substitute for education requirement.
