MO HealthNet Division has openings for two
Benefit Program Senior Specialists within the
Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in
Cole County.Semi-monthly salary: $2,020.69
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.
The
Department of Social Services partners with families and communities to protect children, rehabilitate youth and move families to self-sufficiency so that Missourians can lead safe, healthy and productive lives.

- Assist in developing, maintaining and interpreting policy/procedure guidelines, laws, rules/regulations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness for assigned programs.
- Assist with ongoing oversight of assigned program areas through monitoring of reports, claims, and inquires.
- Assist with modifying policy as required due to legislative changes or identified problem areas with effective decision-making and resolution for assigned programs.
- Complete provider manual updates for assigned programs.
- Review and respond to internal and external inquiries for assigned programs.
- Review and process prior authorizations and requests for change for assigned programs.
- Process MO HealthNet consultant invoices for assigned programs.
- Research and maintain a basic knowledge of diseases, procedures, and medical terminology relative to assigned programs.
- Complete special projects upon the request of management staff.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: - Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience with policy and interpretation.
