What You'll Be DoingWe are seeking a dynamic and compassionate
Kinship Engagement Supervisor to lead and support a team of social workers focused on the identification and engagement of kinship caregivers for youth entering foster care. This role will involve supervising the team’s daily operations, providing guidance and mentorship to staff, and ensuring that engagement strategies align with best practices in child welfare.
The Kinship Engagement Supervisor will: - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify relatives and close family connections for children entering foster care
- Ensure that all legal and procedural requirements are met, while maintaining a focus on family-centered, culturally competent practices
- Oversee the team’s efforts in ensuring timely and thorough family searches, engaging potential kinship placements, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children
The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of child welfare practices and kinship care. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in child welfare, supervision, and a passion for supporting youth and families. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree

- Knowledge of coaching techniques, case management, and trauma-informed care
How Will We Know You're 'The One'? - Experience in working with kinship caregivers and at-risk families
- Knowledge of coaching and case management techniques
- Skilled in 1:1 coaching, group facilitation, and workshop presentations
- Knowledge of child development and the effects of trauma on children and family systems
- Knowledge of programs, services, and resources for families
- Passion and commitment to kinship caregiver engagement and permanency for children
- Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to build and maintain positive, productive relationships
- Ability to respond to and manage changing requirements and priorities
- Use appropriate interpersonal skills and conflict-resolution methods
- Experience in community outreach and engagement
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising and managing staff
- Ability to mentor and support professional development of team members
- Skilled in performance management and staff evaluations
- Ability to foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment
- Knowledge of best practices in staff training and development
- Strong organizational and delegation skills

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:15pm with occasional evenings and weekends
Hiring Range: 66,270 - 89,467 Commensurate with Experience
Market Range: 66,270.00 - 112,663.00
