    Overview

    Join Larimer County IT department as a Business Analyst!

    Are you a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Scrum? Larimer County IT is looking for someone like you to help shape impactful IT solutions for our community. In this role, you'll collaborate with a talented team to identify challenges, define high-level requirements, and ensure resources are efficiently allocated. You’ll manage and analyze internal workflows, ensuring efforts are clear, focused, and aligned with organizational goals.

    Responsibilities

    Specifically, this position:
    • Organizes and prioritizes IT team workloads, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
    • Leads Scrum ceremonies to promote alignment and productivity.
    • Identifies and implements process improvements to boost efficiency and performance.
    • Collaborates with IT teams to understand goals, processes, and challenges, providing actionable insights.
    • Guides strategic planning and prioritization for IT operations.
    • Aligns team efforts with organizational objectives and leverages tools to manage tasks effectively.

    We are looking for a candidate who will:
    • Develop and manage an intake process for internal IT requests and non-project work.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements and assess resource needs.
    • Lead Scrum ceremonies, fostering communication and alignment across teams.
    • Organize and track tasks to ensure timely and effective execution.
    • Evaluate problems and solutions logically to enhance workflows and team efficiency.
    • Address obstacles and provide the tools and resources needed for success.
    • Continuously refine processes to adapt to changing business needs.
    • Support organizational goals while leveraging tools like Jira for task management.


    Qualifications

    Depending on qualifications this position may be hired as Business Analyst II or a Senior Business Analyst.

    All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required for a Business Analyst II will be eliminated from the process.

    SHARE:
    Business Analyst I
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required.
    • One (1) year experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related field required.
    • Training, classes, or coursework in business analysis, communication, organizational change management preferred.

    Business Analyst II
    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent and a combination of education and/or experience in business administration, computer information systems, or a related field are required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
    • Three (3) years experience as a Business Analyst is required.
    • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work anywhere in the County as needed and required.
    Senior Business Analyst
    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent and a combination of education and/or experience in business administration, computer information systems, or a related field are required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
    • Five (5) years experience as a Business Analyst and/or managing requirements for business solutions and/or business process improvement related to information technology projects, with at least 1-year of experience working with Agile/Scrum Teams.
    • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification through the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) within one (1) year of hire required.
    • Possess reliable transportation to work in any facility as needed.
