Why you’ll love this position:FSH is known for evidence-based treatment and innovative practices. The Sex Offender Rehabilitation & Treatment Services (SORTS) Program has a 125-bed capacity. Clients assigned to SORTS are civilly committed under Missouri State Statute 632.480 (the sexually violent predator law). The SORTS Program follows the Risk Needs Responsivity principles and integrates a variety of treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Clients are offered Process Groups, Psycho-educational groups, and case management services. There are also some individual therapy opportunities.

- What you’ll do:
The SORTS program is looking for an individual with strong clinical skills who is reliable and adaptable. Day to day responsibilities include leading treatment groups, providing individual therapy, offering case management and completing all required documentation for clients whose diagnoses and treatment needs vary. This individual will be part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychologists, social workers, psychiatrist, rehabilitation services providers, nurses, and direct care staff. An individual in this position may develop, coordinate, and implement treatment plans, conduct counseling and related therapeutic services, and present recommendations regarding client care to the treatment team.
All you will need for success:Minimum Qualifications - Masters in Counseling or related field
- License eligible or licensed as a Professional Counselor in Missouri
Preferred Qualifications - Training and/or experience with forensic clients within an inpatient setting
- Training and/or experience treating individuals with severe mood and behavior dysregulation.
