The Missouri Department of Public Safety, Office of the Director, DPS Grants is seeking a professional to join the Missouri Office of Homeland Security team. This supervisory position is accountable for the following responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities - Train and supervise work performed by team members to include review and approval of all grant application and compliance workshop trainings.
- Interpret, explain, and apply state and federal rules, regulations and program guidelines for team members, applicants and subrecipients.
- Complete monthly fiscal reconciliation of all DPS Grant programs.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit program progress, status, and statistical reports as required.
- Create and submit mandatory annual reporting as required by statute or grant terms and conditions.
- Prepare local notice of funding opportunities for new and recurring grant programs and assist Grants Program Manager with federal applications and reporting for all grants.
- Review grant processes and stakeholder feedback to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Update monthly grant tracking spreadsheet for programmatic monthly reports for the Director’s Office.
- Represent the Director’s Office at applicable meetings and provide support staff to advisory boards and committees attached to state grant programs or as required by statute.

- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

- Ability to travel if necessary.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently on projects while keeping open lines of communication.
- Capable of using discretion and sound judgement in carrying out job duties in rapidly changing work conditions and assignments.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in accounting; economics; business, nonprofit, or public administration; grant management; or a closely related area and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Professional experience in these areas may substitute for education on a year for year basis.)
