Full-time position available with the General Services Department, Information Technology Division located at 1111 Locust Street
Salary Range: $6,489-$9,734/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Leads and manages a critical IT development and support team.
- Provides IT service support for Web Services.
- Provides enthusiastic leadership and supervision for team members that inspires positive attitudes, embraces change, and results in continuous improvements.
- Works in support of the IT Division mission and is a role model for customer service.
- Provides results oriented towards continuous improvements using customer service standards and staff development.
- Supervises the Web Services team and the tools associated with supporting this key customer service area.
- Supervises assigned technical staff, evaluates their work performance, and coordinates training.
- Establishes and measures performance, goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Provides a vision in developing new processes, policies, and services geared towards service improvement.
- Leads process and quality improvement initiatives using team building as the foundation for success.
- Serves as a customer advocate for internal and external departments while maintaining strong relationships.
- Participates in IT Division and external departmental technology planning to meet ongoing business needs.
- Maintains and expands department technology initiatives.
- Oversees code quality through regular reviews and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Participates in project meetings, assists with requirements gathering, and presents innovative solutions to stakeholders.
- Leads the planning, development, and deployment of web applications from concept to launch.
- Ensures thorough documentation of development processes and system architecture for clarity and future reference.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 5 years of technology experience; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and technology experience.
Preference given to candidates with experience in .NET development (C# and VB.NET) and SQL experience. Other Information

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
