Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework hybrid schedule available after 6-month probationary period completed

Responsibilities
- Leads and performs work of a unit engaged in varied computer operations and architecture projects.
- Assists lower-level IT associates with more complex technical projects and problems.
- Provides leadership and coordination of project teams engaged in medium size projects.
- Performs related activities and makes recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency.
- Directs large projects in a competent fashion.
- Follows appropriate processes and procedures for assigned projects.
- Plans, reviews, and participates in the preparation of business application program instructions to solve business or technical problems and ensure the implementation of those processes for present and future project performance.
- Makes significant contributions to the success of projects by applying demonstrated knowledge.
- Performs technical peer review of work performed by project team.
- Anticipates hardware and software needs and makes recommendations related to the acquisition of such.
- Designs logic for programs or business application systems, prepares test data, define test schedules, and test data requirements and analyze test results.
- Documents procedures and operating methods, gathers data for analysis of problem areas, analyzes documents, files and reports related to workflow, and designs system improvements.
- Consults with supervisors and analysis staff in the design of information systems.
- Participates in selecting and implementing operation systems and architecture improvements.
- Analyzes problems, determines cause, and initiates corrective action in areas that require an expert level of technical competency.
- Leads project teams in the implementation of design/analysis and programming/coding initiatives.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communications skills to train, instructs and educates groups and individuals in a team environment.
- Provides technical expertise to other members on the team for their technical development.
- Recommends process or procedure changes.
- Participates in process and quality improvement.
- Follows through on commitments made to customers.
- Assures that customer requirements are met.
- Works effectively with peers, team members, and other departments.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of technology experience; OR a n equivalent combination of qualifying education and technology experience.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
