Associate Customer Service Representative - (Income Tax/Quality Review) Department of Revenue Location: Truman Building - 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This is a technical position within the Income Tax Bureau of the Taxation Division. Successful candidates are analytical thinkers, capable of problem solving & identifying process improvement opportunities. They will also possess a background in customer service & proven attention to detail. There are many opportunities for advancement within the DOR & we are often looking to this position class to promote those who display positive leadership qualities.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: - Working with individual income tax returns, corporate income tax returns, & property tax credit claims
- Analyzing & adjusting returns, notifying individual income tax non-filers & under-reporters
- Sorting & distributing correspondence
- Responding to customer inquiries through telephone calls, e-mails, & written correspondence
- Processing returned refunds
CORE COMPETENCIES NEEDED: Reliable Computer Literate Effective Writing
Self-motivated Detail Oriented Clear Communication
QUALIFICATIONS: - Possess a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.
