Description
The Assistant Program Coordinator provides professional and technical public health support. This position coordinates with internal and external stakeholders throughout the local public health system to carry out essential public health services.
Examples of Duties
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Receives positive disease reports from both internal and external providers and enters them into a disease surveillance database.
Assigns field investigation records to the public health follow-up team.
Prepares correspondence for providers that details reporting guidelines and requirements.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, completion of some college course work, and a minimum one year of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
