We are recruiting to fill an Accounting Supervisor II position to perform professional work in the supervision of accounting and case management staff engaged in analysis, development, maintenance, and review of accounting and case management systems. Supervises, coordinates, and maintains a major accounting and disbursing system.
- Supervisory activities are defined as: establishes expectations, checks work product, provides training, conducts performance evaluations, coaches and guides staff, and participates in the hiring and termination of staff.
- Ensures consistent review reports are completed with established deadlines. Communicate circuit court office in implementing recommendations.
- Reviews audit reports prepared by the state auditor's office of circuit court offices and assists in the implementation of recommendations.
- Assists with statewide information reported in the Judicial Annual Report.
- Coordinates work activities of the automated case management system including identification of business and product requirements; developing functional specifications for product features and reports to meet the needs of the courts, product delivery testing; and drafting procedures for new product deliveries.
Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management and 3 years of professional experience.
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
May require a CPA.
Preferred qualifications - Extensive knowledge of theoretical accounting principles and methods and ability to apply and adapt established methods to varied accounting problems.
- Extensive knowledge of theoretical and applied governmental accounting.
- Considerable knowledge of project management including time management, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and other procedures as applied to the use of automated systems.
