Why you’ll love this position:The Section for Long-Term Care seeks to help protect the health and safety of elderly and disabled individuals residing in long term care facilities. The Health Education Unit assists Certified Nurse Aides, Certified Medication Technicians, Level 1 Medication Aides, as well as long-term care facilities with questions related to the respective registries
- Perform data entry that supports functions of the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Technician (CMT), Level One Medication Aide, (L1MA) and Insulin Administration (IA) Registry.
- This unit utilizes the PROD system, Outlook, and KOFAX. It requires the ability to accurately and rapidly enter data and perform data changes to the system.
- Process resiprosity requests, provide correspondence and add to the registry.
- Open and process mail, type letters, scan and validate paperwork, answer phone calls during the call center hours and provide assistance and guidance as needed.
- Provide assistance with challenge request for the CNA certification by processing, verifying and corresponding with the applicant.
- Perform on site evaluations at facilities who provide CNA training. This involves travel potentially in all areas of the state with some overnights.
Minimum Qualifications: - Basic computer knowledge and organizational skill.
- Time management and flexibility
- The ability to move from one task to another in a fast paced environment.
- Proper conduct while providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
