Full-time position available with the General Services Department, Procurement Services located at 414 East 12th Street
Salary Range: $7,268-$10,902/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Performs highly responsible administrative and managerial work assisting in the planning, design, direction, and management of procurement activities for the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
- Handles one or more division administrative and/or business activities.
- Works with almost complete independence and is responsible for the use of considerable initiative and judgment in establishing procedures, processes, and controls conducting various assignments working closely with the Chief Procurement Officer in providing professional support to all City Departments.
- Performs supervision over professional technical staff engaged in procurement activities.
- Assists with the development of procurement services division policies, procedures, and controls through consultation with General Services management on administrative and business activities, and programs.
- Confers with and advises department or division heads on procurement administrative and business acts.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of professional private or public sector experience in managing more complex organizational operations, projects, programs or services; OR High school graduation and ten (10) years professional private or public sector experience in managing more complex organizational operations, projects, programs or services.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
