In this position, you’ll support our Community Infrastructure, Planning, and Resource service category, which includes Community Development, Engineering, Natural Resources, The Ranch, Road and Bridge, and Solid Waste.
As an HR Generalist, you’ll be a key partner, delivering HR services in employee relations, development, recruiting, performance management, and policy guidance. You’ll also lead efforts to strengthen our new hire programs, such as managing new employee orientation, gathering feedback from new hires, and driving initiatives to boost employee retention across the county.

ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, this position:
- Serves as the primary HR contact for the Community Planning Infrastructure & Resources (CPIR) departments, overseeing day-to-day HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Leads and implements county-wide initiatives to enhance new hire retention, engagement, and long-term employee satisfaction.
- Collaborates closely with CPIR leadership to address department-specific HR needs and foster a supportive work environment.
- Analyzes retention and engagement data, using insights to continuously improve strategies that enhance the overall employee experience.
- Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures, providing guidance on employee relations and resolving HR-related challenges.

QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Three (3) years' experience in a directly related human resources field required; public sector human resources experience preferred.
- Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
