Job Summary STARTING SALARY: Traffic Analyst I: $20.28 - $25.86 hourly
Traffic Analyst II: $21.41 - $27.30hourly
Traffic Analyst III: $22.61 - $28.83hourly Performs professional work in the area of traffic studies. Conducts traffic investigations in response to reported traffic concerns. Performs a variety of engineering analyses to determine the effectiveness of existing conditions. Makes recommendations for improvements and generates work orders. Communicates orally and in writing, responding to questions and complaints with the public, insurance agents, attorneys, or other governmental agencies. May work outdoors under adverse conditions while collecting traffic data or installing data collection equipment such as traffic counters and cameras. Performs crash report data clerking and generates crash diagram. Responsible for keeping the City of Orlando’s count program up to date. Work is performed under the supervision of the Traffic Studies Manager. Performance is reviewed upon completion through direct observation, reports submitted, and evaluation of results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications: Traffic Analyst IMinimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree plus six (6) months experience in collecting and analyzing technical data; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.
Traffic Analyst II Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree with coursework in Traffic Engineering, Math, Data Processing, Drafting, and Technical Writing plus two (2) years experience in traffic engineering with responsibility for collecting and analyzing technical data; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.
Traffic Analyst III Minimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree with coursework in Traffic Engineering, Math, Data Processing, Drafting, and Technical Writing plus four (4) or more years experience in traffic engineering with responsibility for collecting and analyzing technical data; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Florida Driver's License is
required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
