    Associate Customer Service Representative

    Processing Bureau - Business Tax Return Processing

    Department of Revenue

    Annual Salary: $33,999.68

    Location: 301 W. High Street, Jefferson City, MO

    HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

    Our team focuses on processing, reviewing and correcting Missouri's business tax returns and documents in a timely manner. We are team-oriented and goal-driven. We value strong communication, typing skills and problem solving experience.

    DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

    This description may not include all of the duties, knowledge, skills, or abilities associated with this title.

    • Review incoming tax returns and payments to ensure necessary information submitted.
    • Complete data entry tasks to input tax return figures and taxpayer information.
    • Ensure tax payments are prepared accurately and processed timely.
    • Learn about various tax types and be willing to shift daily tasks depending on incoming work volumes and business need.
    • Participate in process improvement efforts and special projects to increase efficiencies within the section.
    • Communicate with your co-workers and leadership in a manner that promotes a positive working relationship

    Self-directed Attention to Detail Clear Communication

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Possess a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, and
    • six or more months of experience in clerical or general office support work
