HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: The Administrative Support Assistant works in the Mail Service Center processing incoming and outgoing mail and parcels. Candidates must be energetic and motivated to join our fast paced Mail Service Center team. DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: - Sort incoming department mail
- Extract and prep incoming department mail following specific instructions
- Make mail delivery’s throughout the department multiple times daily
- Assist in the processing of outgoing postcards on an inkjet system (Buskro or similar equipment)
- Assist in the processing of outgoing mail on inserting equipment (Forerunner or similar equipment)
- Maintain an introductory knowledge of USPS processing categories and postage rates
- Other duties as assigned

Attention to Detail Clear Communication
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or certificate of High School Equivalency
- Introductory knowledge of US Postal rates and classifications
- Ability to lift trays of mail weighing up to 15 pounds
- Ability to lift tubs of mail weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to transport all-purpose carts of mail weighing approximately 700 pounds with assistance.
