OverviewThe Office of Housing Stability seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to join our team!
This pivotal role will primarily support the Office of Housing Stability while also dedicating 10 hours per week to assist the Human and Economic Health Director. The ideal team member will ensure the effective management and reporting of federal, state and local housing programs overseen by our office. They will assist in monitoring budgets, preparing meetings and strategy reports, providing excellent customer service, implementing program procedure improvements, updating the department's website, and assist in evaluating program impacts. The typical schedule for this position is 8 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday, possibly working two days remotely after initial onboarding is completed.
ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, this position:
- Assists in preparing budgets for Human and Economic Health Department and Office of Housing Stability.
- Assists in preparing complex reports, requests for proposals and other documents for housing programs.
- Assists in ensuring compliance and ongoing reporting requirements for the County's American -Rescue Plan Act funds and Housing Contracts.
- Establishes and maintains business support systems for housing programs.
- Develops, prepares, and updates procedure documents, process flows, website, and training materials.

We are looking for a candidate that will:
- Ability to read and comprehend department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong knowledge in operational, public sector budgeting, staffing, policy and procedures.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of routine software including, but not limited to, Word, Xcel, Canva, JotForm, Adobe, Zoom, and Google Suite.
- Experience in preparing, administering, and monitoring operational budgets.
- Experience preparing complex narrative and statistical reports, procedures, and other written materials.
- Ability to work independently on various tasks and be flexible when priorities shift.
QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
- One (1) year of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
