The purpose of the
Golf Shop Lead position will be to serve as support for the Director of Golf and the Assistant Golf Professionals. The focus of this position will be to collect and account for golf fees and services and to assist staff in providing the highest level of customer service to our golf clients.

- Driver Requirement: This position requires candidate to possess a valid Texas Class C Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. Pay Range
$21.63 - $23.79 per hour

Work/Location Schedule Notes: - Variable Work Schedule - this is a 40 hour per week position and shifts for this position will vary.
- May be required to work during special events, evenings, weekends & holidays.

Preferred Experience: - Experience working in a municipal golf course pro shop or golf retail shop providing customer service.
- Experience operating a cash register including cash transactions, checks, and charges, and compiling revenue reports for a municipal course.
- Retail merchandising experience including maintaining store inventories, and ordering, stocking, and pricing merchandise for municipal golf courses.
- Municipal golf industry experience including an advanced understanding of the rules of golf, familiarity with golf merchandise and equipment, and tournament work experience.
Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of Rectrac or similar Point of Sale ( POS ) system software.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Other: - Ability to travel to more than one work location.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates work of other golf shop personnel in the sale of golf equipment and supplies.
2. Oversees the collection of payments for retail sales and rental of range balls.
3. Accounts for all money received
4. Oversees the rental of carts and collection of greens and cart rental fees.
5. Assigns phone coverage.
6. Answers and assists other golf shop personnel with, golf shop service related questions
7. Oversees the arrangement of merchandise.
8. Performs support services for tournaments
Responsibilities- Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised:
- May provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training, and guidance to others.
- May perform the duties of Golf Shop Associates
