Distinguishing Features of the ClassUnder general direction, performs database operational support to ensure city-wide databases are available and running smoothly 24/7 providing a seamless flow of information throughout the organization while considering backend data structure and frontend accessibility. Provides support and training to end users including business unit operations personnel, staff in IT Operations: Applications, Help Desk, Infrastructure, and Business Analysts. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Acceptable Experience and Training- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Database Administration or related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration with major coursework in information systems, computer science, or database administration; and
- Considerable experience in database administration, application database development, database architecture, or a related field; or
- Any combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- MCSE/MCSA certification preferred.

- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards;
- Create automation for repeating database tasks;
- Be available for on-call support as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
