This opening is for one of our

- Maintain and perform basic repairs to automobiles, trucks, tractors, loaders, motor graders and other heavy equipment.
- Inspect, service, repair and overhaul transmissions, engines, clutches, drivelines, differentials, front and rear axle assemblies and ignition systems; repair and install hydraulic controls; tune motors using standard testing equipment; dismantle, repair and reassemble air compressors, hydraulic jacks, pumps, cylinders and related equipment.
- Inspect, repair, overhaul and assemble automotive components such as alternators, distributors and starters.
- Complete mandated fleet inspections and ensure all equipment meets OSHA standards and all repairs and modifications are done in accordance with operational specifications and safety standards.
- May weld and modify equipment and fabricate parts.
- Associate’s Degree in Diesel Mechanics, Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or
- Completion of a formal post-secondary technical training program in automobile or heavy equipment-related repair (of at least 30 credit hours or one school year in duration) and one year of experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair.
- A passing grade on the written portion of the commercial driver’s license (CDL) exam is required prior to the hire date. Must pass the driving portion of the Class B CDL exam with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]) within 60 days of hire into the position.
- Valid vehicle inspection license within 60 days of hire into the position.
- Successful completion of a work simulation examination and medical-physical examination.
