Job Summary Performs responsible supervisory and technical work directing activities in the Code Enforcement Division. Responsible for both assigning and reviewing the work of subordinate inspectors, including providing technical assistance in interpreting applicable codes and ordinances. Performs periodic site inspections to resolve complaints and to ensure compliance with the Code Enforcement Board, City Council, Land Development Code, Minimum Housing Code, Lot Cleaning Code and Parking Enforcement Code. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences and written reports. Work may require walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs, bending, crawling, and stooping. Incumbent is required to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and five (5) years of experience in minimum housing inspection, building inspection, zoning inspection, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must possess certification from the International Code Council and/or State of Florida as an inspector. Must pass driver's physical and background check which includes polygraph.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
