Full-time position available with the General Services Department, Information Technology Division located at 4800 East 63rd Street
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework schedule available after 6-month probationary period completed

Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to servicing maps and additional services.
- Coordinates and supports the use of geospatial technology within the city.
- Assists with maintaining the core components of the City's Enterprise GIS System and is involved in administrative support for geospatial data development, application development, maintenance and analysis.
- Categorizes, documents, and organizes both historical and incoming documents related to the assets and operation of KC Water.
- Assists in developing a document management system and oversees the scanning and cataloging historic records.
- Updates GIS features and workflow system to reflect project locations with polygons and project metadata.
- Assists with scheduling and administrative duties for GIS and Data Management Division, interfaces with Engineering and Water department leadership.
- Creates and maintains document management system/scheme and processes for historical and incoming KC Water records.
- Oversees historical records scanning and processing, reviews for accuracy and completeness in cooperation with Engineering and GIS.
- Receives all new incoming as built and other records documents, catalogs and routes to appropriate staff.
- Performs quality control review for completeness and investigates missing or incomplete records.
- Ability to clearly document and catalog records information into an electronic system and link to scanned copies.
- Effective time management.
- Splits time between ongoing project deadlines and constant flow of incoming short-term assignments.
- Highly organized and able to categorize documents based on multiple criteria while maintaining document order and context.
- Detail oriented.
- Inspects documentation for quality assurance and classification information with a high level of accuracy.
- Contacts various field and contract personnel to request documentation.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience to include professional experience in the development and/or operation of administrative systems, programs, policies and practice.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
