This program includes the planning, design, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and repair of three lanes in each direction approximately 200 miles of I-70.

What you’ll do: - Performs basic construction tests such as air, slump, moisture, compaction, aggregate gradation, and density; reports results to supervisor.
- Performs measurements, computations, or other work in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
- Assists in inspection of bituminous and portland cement concrete plants and/or grading, base, bituminous or concrete paving.
- Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to inspections; keeps supervisor informed of activities or unusual conditions; ensures projects meet department standards.
- Enters and records information regarding construction projects into computer programs.
All you need for success: - High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
- Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires moderate physical activity.
- Job requires exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment.
- Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
