Job Summary RE-POST: PIROR APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY Performs administrative and investigative work in the area of Traffic Camera Enforcement Operations. Reviews photos, videos, and Department of
Motor Vehicle information for Traffic (camera) violations . Violations are enforced in accordance with Chapter 316 of the State Uniform Traffic Code. Responsible for making decisions requiring independent judgment and exercising tact, firmness, and initiative during contact with the public. Work is reviewed through periodic checks, conferences, analysis of reports, and evaluation of results achieved.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree with coursework in Law Enforcement or related field and two (2) years experience in law enforcement; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must be certified as a Traffic Infraction Enforcement Officer through the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) or 1197 (STEP) for Red Light Cameras as approved by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission as stated in Florida Statute 316.0083 or be a Certified Florida Law Enforcement Officer as approved by FDLE. Copy of certification(s) required at the time of application. Preferably knowledgeable in computer image software, and camera technology.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
