    Full-time position available with the Human Resources Department, Learning & Development Specialist Division located at 414 E. 12th St.
    Salary Range: $22.52-$33.78/hour
    Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm

    Responsibilities

    The City of Kansas City's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team is looking for a dedicated and engaging new addition to our team. HRIS maintains and supports PeopleSoft Human Resources, Benefits, Pension, and Recruitment Modules. Our mission is to empower employees to effectively manage information and achieve their business objectives. We handle module-specific concerns, administer functional security, document business processes, provide functional requirements for system customizations, coordinate project team activities during system upgrades, conduct testing, manage ad-hoc reporting, resolve help desk tickets, and develop and deploy training. As an HRIS Analyst Trainee, you will assist the HRIS Team in managing and maintaining our HR Information System (PeopleSoft). This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and support the continuous improvement of HR processes through technology. You will gain valuable knowledge and skills to progress in HRIS roles.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist in managing and maintaining the HR Information System (PeopleSoft).
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure data integrity and troubleshoot issues.
    • Support continuous improvement of HR processes through technology.
    • Analyze data to provide insights that support HR decision-making.
    • Identify issues within the HRIS and collaborate on solutions.
    • Ensure high levels of accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
    • Comfortable working with HRIS software, with a willingness to learn new systems.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess data and derive insights.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaborative mindset.

    The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
    For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
    Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

    If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
