RoleUnder general supervision, performs technical work of routine difficulty in collecting, analyzing, and routing data from reports and records specific to the assigned department.
Major Duties, Responsibilities- Performs a variety of clerical and office tasks, including entering and retrieving data from computer database programs, maintaining filing systems, compiling data and preparing reports; receiving money and entering receipts; handling incoming phone calls and assisting visitors; keeping account and other office records; proofreading and coding; and coordinating flow of clerical work with that of other departments and agencies.
- Handles public and agency requests for records information, both by telephone and in person.
- Classifies reports, sorts, and analyzes information, compiles statistics, verifies information, and builds and maintains statistical data.
- May perform special project research and analysis as assigned.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of general office experience.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Other SkillsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of:- Departmental clerical and office procedures, including various internal programs.

- Business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition.

- Keep management informed of key operating issues affecting the department.
- Remain current in knowledge required to perform assigned duties.
- Handle confidential matters and maintain discretion always.
- Act with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
Work Environment: The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
