All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - This is a highly responsible position requiring the employee to work with a broad range of providers with varying levels of knowledge and expertise. The employee will use evidence-based strategies and performance-based outcome measures consistent with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s best practices for breast and cervical cancer detection.
- To be successful in this position the candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge of evidence-based lifestyle interventions. The candidate must also be willing to work as a team with staff and other program managers. Proficiency in commonly used office computer programs is also required. Travel throughout the state is required with occasional travel for out-of-state training opportunities.
- To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for a Registered Nurse Specialist/Supervisor.
- Supervisory skills are preferred.

What you’ll do: - Program management, development, and administration of statewide breast and cervical cancer screening services.
- Budget management, contract development, contract monitoring, continuous quality improvement.
- Develop and adhere to policies/procedures, standards, and contract monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with other chronic disease programs to focus on outcomes through identifying data needs, and evaluating impacts.
- Provide oversight and assist as needed in the development of grant applications and various grant reports, and ensure timely submission.
- Monitor and evaluate programs in order to continuously improve service delivery, prevent programmatic or client-centered problems, and to maximize the quality of services and interventions by identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide clinical consultation and make clinical and programmatic decisions for the program
- Develop collaborative working relationships with statewide stakeholders (service providers, cancer coalitions, cancer control organizations, MO HealthNet, etc.)
- Provide supervision and oversight for a team of regional program coordinator nurses
