Employment CoordinatorThe position will serve as a Reentry Coordinator and provide guidance for the Missouri Department of Corrections regarding Reentry Services. The position will engage with representatives from partnering state agencies, reentry providers, employers and local community stakeholders state-wide. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for those seeking to become second chance employers and for those seeking employment with criminal justice involvement in their background. Through this role you will play an essential function through assisting individuals with reintegration and the reduction of barriers, as well as enhancing public safety in the state of Missouri. Daily work schedule will range from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday requiring some travel/overnight responsibilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following: public speaking, developing and monitoring projects/programs with public and private organizations, conducting training programs and providing assistance to employers and agencies in identifying and overcoming barriers in identifying and overcoming barriers to the employment of justice-involved individuals.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires three or more years of experience with the Missouri Department of Corrections or another correctional agency. Experience with the Missouri workforce systems, social services and community partnerships may be substituted for correctional experience.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-to-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year)

All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed. Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.
The Department of Corrections is the only State agency that currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of service up to 20 years.
