Why you’ll love this position:The Department of Mental health is seeking to hire a Senior Research Data Analyst to be domiciled at Central Office in Jefferson City. This position reports directly to the Research Manager.
- Assist Division staff in strategic planning discussions related to quality improvement, data integrity and data governance to ensure that best practices of data collection methods and processing are implemented at all phases of implementation and maintenance.
- Plan, coordinate and execute complex statistical programs to retrieve and aggregate data requested by stakeholders or required for reporting associated with federal grants, budgetary needs, general data requests and feedback reporting.
- Oversee and participate in the maintenance of ongoing reporting projects in support of Division initiatives.
- Supervise two intermediate and/or entry level analysts by providing direction on complex analyses, reviewing work for accuracy and training staff when necessary. Provide technical and general supervision to direct reporting staff as well as other analysts within the unit working on large projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: - Possess knowledge and skills related to data processes and database design.
- Knowledge and skills related to coordinating work in a team-based setting.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to learn skills related to Microsoft SQL, SAS, Tableau, and Microsoft Reporting Services as well as other tools used for data reporting.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in social service or data analysis related field.
- Four (4) or more years of progressive research/data analysis experience pertaining to mental health/substance use disorder programs/services may substitute.
