We are looking for an organized and experienced trainer to join us in Home and Community Based Services at Division of Senior and Disability Services. In this position you will evaluate training needs, deliver previously designed trainings and develop new trainings using learning resources and engaging group activities. The ideal candidate is a confident public speaker who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources need to improve employee training and performance. This candidate should also enjoy educating as well as learning.
What you’ll do: - Conduct monthly training for new state assessor staff responsible for assessing eligibility, authorizing services, and updating care plans for Missouri's elderly and disabled population.
- Provide online training and certification to provider reassessors.
- Provide bi-monthly (or more) in-service trainings to DSDS team members to refresh knowledge and skills.
- Provide quarterly Referesher Training to state assessors.
- Work with DSDS staff and stakeholders to evaluate training effectiveness and needs.
- Plan and develop training materials (in-person, virtual, and eLearning modules).
- Prepare and conduct training for community partners, stakeholders, and other groups upon request related to Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) topics.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of HCBS to ensure trainings are updated with the most current policies.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Knowledge of the methods of instruction, preparation of training materials, and principles of personnel development.
- Knowledge of various training tools.
- Ability to lead discussion and instruct participants in training classes using a variety of instructional techniques.
- Knowledge of HCBS policies and procedures preferred.
