Job Location: This position will be located at 832 Weathered Rock Ct. Jefferson City MO
Why you’ll love this position:The individual in this classification functions as the primary administrative staff at the reception desk providing customer service in the performance of technical and paraprofessional work in the dissemination of information regarding the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan. This individual will also serve as a back-up to the call center.
- Greet and check in visitors
- Answer multi-line telephone promptly and professionally directing callers to the appropriate department for assistance.
- Process returned mail according to HIPAA guidelines
- Assist walk-in members with premium payments.
- Effectively and efficiently operate standard office equipment including printer, facsimile, personal computer, and label printer.
- Compose and type general memorandums and correspondence as directed by the supervisor or manager.
- Process and review reports with various deadlines and make outbound member calls as required.
Assist call center during annual Open Enrollment in October and as back-up as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed member outreach telephone logs.
- Attend required training and staff meetings.
- Work in conjunction with all necessary MCHCP departments to resolve member issues.
- Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires one year customer service experience or one year of higher education.
- Requires one year of clerical or administrative professional experience.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Knowledge of medical insurance highly desired but not required.
