- Receive invoices for payment of services.
- Examine, review, approve, and process invoices for payment.
- Examine invoices for mathematical accuracy and dates of service.
- Communicate with staff regarding discrepancy on invoices and take appropriate action to correct any of the discrepancies.
- Fold and stuff check remittance information daily.
- Deliver checks to DESE Accounting.
- Operate standard office equipment such as calculator, copier, and word processor/personal computer.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from high school or the GED (equivalence)
(Other qualifications and experience which, in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education, meet the requirements of the position, may be accepted in lieu of the above.)
Preferred Qualifications: - Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of office methods and procedures.
- Ability to expedite a large volume of detailed work.
- Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, computer terminal, calculator, and copier
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
