Why you’ll love this position:The Section for Long-Term Care seeks to help protect the health and safety of elderly and disabled individuals residing in long term care facilities. This is a highly rewarding position in the Health Education Unit supporting a team of dedicated professionals performing long-term care regulatory functions for the CNA, CMT, L1MA and Insulin Administration registry.
- Supervise staff performing clerical and other support tasks; plans work assignments, organizes and coordinates workflow; establishes priorities and deadline as needed;
- Maintains calendars/schedules, arranges travel and accommodations;
- Mentors staff on work issues, evaluates employees' performance; recommends or implements disciplinary/corrective action, approves and monitors leave requests; ensures compliance with established policies
- Coordinate and manage the work flow in the unit, identify the needs and assist the administrative assistant staff;
- Be a resource for questions from providers and staff regarding the CNA, CMT, L1MA and Insulin Administration training programs;
- Assist with the processing and correspondence related to CNA, CMT, L1MA and Insulin Administration certification and training programs;
- Assist the Unit supervisor with identifying resources with a creative approach, improving processes for efficiency and assist with and help address unmet needs;
- Assist Unit Supervisor with onboarding and training of new staff;
- other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs;
- Ability to prioritize and multitask;
- Detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, ability to learn new tasks quickly;
- Ability to work with different employees and members of the public on varied issues in a professional manner;
- Dependable
- Able to be flexible and have a positive approach to change
