Job Location: This position will be located at Jefferson Barracks, 29 Sherman Ave St. Louis, MO, 63125
- Responsible for the procurement of goods and services. Act as a liaison with Facility Manager and State Resource Advisor to ensure accuracy of state purchase orders and payment
- Purchases approved requisitioned items and support through the use of facilities operation and maintenance activities
- Research state and federal supply sources to procure all parts and equipment required
- Reviews stock levels and determines replenishment needs. When stock approaches minimum levels, ascertains whether supply item has changed and processes requisition, if appropriate to procure
- Contact contractors to receive bids, quotes or estimates for work to be performed or supplies
- Work and coordinate with all vendors to ensure that goods and services are delivered as required and are of good quality and quantity specified
Minimum Qualifications - Must have proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
- Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must qualify to obtain a Common Access Card
- Material control, accounting, and general knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheet
- Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system (iEMS)
- Knowledge of general office administrative and procurement procedures
- Ability to purchase with and manage state purchase cards
