    Overview

    The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) is hiring a Water and Energy Crew Leader!

    LCCC promotes individual development through service for the benefit of our environment and community. Programs empower members to develop personal and professional skills, gain environmental awareness and actively engage in the community, while developing self-sufficiency to help them become productive members of our community.

    The Water and Energy Crew Leader performs basic home efficiency assessments, schedules assessments, manages workflow of permits, organizes inventory, trains and assists crew members with assessments, and more! The LCCC will provide the Crew Leader with home efficiency assessment and high efficiency toilet installation training .

    The typical schedule for this position is 8AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday with the p otential for one to three weekend work events. This is a temporary position that is anticipated to begin approximately December 16, 2024 and end around May 9, 2025.

    Responsibilities

    Specifically this position:
    • Provides support for the Water and Energy program
    • Performs basic supervision of six crew members
    • Organizes inventory for water and energy saving products
    • Manages the workflow of permit applications and approvals
    • Schedules assessments and responds to inquiries from program participants
    • Attends tabling events and perform outreach to advertise the Water and Energy program to community members
    • Assists Program Coordinator with training six crew members to perform basic home efficiency assessments
    • Assists Program Coordinator with leading morning meetings and end of day debriefs

    We are looking for a candidate who will:
    • Perform basic home efficiency assessments (i.e. install lightbulbs, faucet aerators, showerheads, toilets, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, clotheslines and furnace air filters)
    • Have customer service experience
    • Be skilled in effective problem solving in a variety of settings
    • Use excellent organizational, oral communication, writing and data entry skills
    • Demonstrate an elevated attention to detail
    • Ideally have prior participation in a conservation corps program
    • Enjoy a mix of field (40%) and office (60%) duties
    • Work independently with minimal supervision


    Qualifications

    All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
