Position Summary:
Position is responsible for private instruction of different ice skating skill levels, Pre-school, Youth, and Adult/Youth. The appropriate Recreation Coordinator and Ice Skating Lessons Supervisor directly supervises this position.
Essential Functions:- Skating knowledge and experience is required, previous teaching experience is desired.
- Applicant needs to demonstrate strong customer service skills, and have the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Applicant must be able to instruct individuals and be available to schedule mutually convenient lesson times with students and coordinate these with Ice Skating Lessons Supervisor.

Education, Training & Certifications:
Necessary:
Must be at least 15 years of age or older. Have extensive ice skating or previous skate instruction experience with the knowledge skills and abilities to demonstrate and teach students at varying skill levels. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing. Shifts may include nights and weekends. Skating skills may encompass instructing basic skating, figure skating and/or hockey skating specific skills. The Community Center Ice Rink is an outdoor rink; temperatures can range from below zero to 30-40°.
