    Position Summary:

    The Daycare Attendant II works under the direction of the Daycare Lead and Community Center Program & Event Coordinator. Program Attendant II will be responsible for assisting with the operation and supervision of children as well as directing Attendant 1s and Assistants for Programs in the absence of the Lead.

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for executing weekly programming and special events under the direction of the Lead
    • Provide a fun, and nurturing environment in which both children and parents feel comfortable.
    • Must be conscientious of potentially unsafe conditions; work and play with children in a safe and courteous manner; and communicate effectively
    • Encourage inclusivity for all children in the program and adjust play as needed.
    • Work closely and collaboratively with all members of Community Center team.
    • Ability to work independently with a corresponding child to staff ratio.
    • Aide in the preparation, set up, and clean up for crafts, games, and activities.
    • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of rooms and supplies; maintaining a healthy environment.
    • Open and close daily operations .
    • Drive 15 passenger vans to transport program participants.
    • Enforce all general building policies and safety standards and regulations in all facilities.

    Education, Training & Certifications:

    Necessary:

    • 21 years of age or older OR 18 years of age or older and at least one (1) year or equivalent experience working with children
    • CPR and first aid must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
    • Must have a valid CO drivers license and good driving record
    • Must speak, read,?and write English fluently.


    Desired:

    • training in Standard Precautions (Blood Borne Pathogens) training
