Why you’ll love this position:The Section for Long-Term Care seeks to help protect the health and safety of elderly and disabled individuals residing in long term care facilities. This is a highly rewarding position supporting a team of dedicated professionals performing long-term care regulatory functions for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Located within the Section for Long Term Care Regulation's Licensure Unit, you will be part of a team that processes all licensure and inspection activities for long term care facilities and adult day care centers.
- Routine clerical duties including answering phones, preparing and reviewing correspondence and reports for accuracy and proper formatting, supply ordering, processing mail, and expense reports;
- Assist with entering federal surveys/complaints/state inspections/fire marshal inspections in the ASPEN/ACTS database.
- Use Access, EXCEL database to track inspection processes to long term care facilities and adult day care programs.
- Maintain email databases for long term care facilities and adult day care programs.
- Respond to licensure/certification inquiries
Minimum Qualifications: - 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
- You will be working in a multi-team member environment which requires the ability to work independently or as a team, meet deadlines/timeframes, and requires a professional demeanor when interacting with customers;
- Skills in effectively working with diverse individuals and populations, providing good communication with team members, regional offices, other departments, the public, and stakeholders;
- Ability to compile and enter data for reporting purposes
- Basic computer skills.
