Why you’ll love this position: This is a temporary/seasonal position with OA/FMDC will participate in the maintenance and care of the grounds around the Fulton State Hospital complex and other various OA owned buildings within Fulton, working Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work and perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll do: - Mowing
- Trimming/pruning
- Watering
- Deadheading
- Digging
- Harvesting
- Staking
- Weeding
- Mulching
- Tree trimming/removal
- Caring for various plants/trees/shrubs, flowers and turf.
- Cleaning sidewalks
- Emptying trash cans
- Picking up trash and debris
- Assist in cleaning of parking lots and patching asphalt
- Assisting full time staff in building and equipment maintenance and repair of irrigation breaks when needed.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pick up/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate gas and hand powered lawn maintenance tools and equipment.
- General knowledge of lawn care and grounds keeping.
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Must have, and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.

This position is physically demanding. Examples of job duties may include prolonged periods of walking/ standing/ sitting/ bending, climbing ladders, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, working in inclement weather and working on uneven surfaces.
