This position will be located at 1659 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, Air Pollution Control Program, Compliance and Enforcement Section.
Duration of Assignment: January through December, = 1,000 hours
- Enforcement case work including failure to renew operating permit, open burning violations, and permit or rule violations.
- Concurrence requests - evaluate requests for concurrence on air permits and permits, or other actions, from other program media.
- Annual Compliance Certification and /Semiannual Monitoring report tracking assistance.
Digital folder clean-up.
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with Missouri Air Conservation regulations and the Clean Air Act.

- Decision Support: Knowledge of decision support theories, methods, and tools for identifying, synthesizing, representing, and evaluating the important aspects of a decision situation and prescribing the recommended course for decision makers and other stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring and training a diverse team regarding air quality issues and project management.
- Writing: Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct, brief, clear and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material, that is appropriate for the intended audience.
- Written Communication: Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
- Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.
