Administrative Assistant.

The City of Roseville seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant who possesses strong attention to detail, problem solving, organization, exceptional time management, communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, remain composed under pressure, and be committed to high-quality support to the Director. The current vacancy will be supporting the Human Resources (HR) Director, and several managers in HR, so the ability to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including personnel board members, senior executives, labor representatives, and employees, representing the Director's interests professionally and effectively are fundamental to this position’s success. This position also supports the Employee Recognition Committee and Inclusion Committee to contribute to a rewarding and meaningful employee experience.

At a minimum, candidates must possess three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience and an Associate’s degree or the equivalent of 60 semester units (2 years of additional experience can substitute for education). Review the full minimum qualifications here.

The current vacancy is a regular, benefitted and full-time position; however, the employment list that will be established from this recruitment may be utilized to fill future regular, limited-term, or temporary vacancies in the City for the duration of the list. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; a flexible schedule may be available.

SELECTION PROCESS

All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a Formula Rate Examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the Employment List. Supplemental questions will be utilized by the department hiring authority to make interview and selection determinations.

Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references, passing a City-paid fingerprint check, and depending on the position applied for, a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol screening test, credit check, license and/or education verification, psychological examination, and/or an extensive Police Department background check process.

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:
